#5 UConn leads #1 North Carolina 3-0.

Too early to celebrate (the Heels can score in bunches), but just a head's up for those interested.

Updating, the aptly named Sarah Mansfield has been on fire with 14 saves for UConn in goal, but UNC actually pulled their goalie with 17 minutes left and scored their first one at the 13:40 mark with an extra field player. Now 3-1 Huskies. Could be an interesting final 13 minutes.

Yuck - wish I never checked in. UNC scores twice in the final minute to force overtime at 3-3. The Tar Heels played without a goalie for the last 17 minutes. Highly unlikley UConn is going to regroup and win this one - they took zero shots in the second half.

End of first OT, still 3-3. UConn almost got a breakaway on a counter, but the ball rolled just a little bit off the UConn player's stick and the UNC goalie was able to kick it away before she could get a shot off. Otherwise, it's all Heels right now.

Tar Heels get the game-winner off a turnover midway through second overtime and win 4-3 (the goal itself was a thing of beauty - a lift shot over the UConn GK and into the corner, but the giveaway by UConn was bad). Bummer for UConn - the Heels got their second goal with about 55 seconds left in regulation, and then UConn fell apart on the next defensive possession to give up the tying goal with 23 seconds left as UNC just had a couple passes right up the middle of the field. They battled in OT, but UNC was the better team. Don't know how UConn got off to the 3-0 lead when I wasn't watching, but they probably played as well as they could play for 35 minutes.
