I think getting a full week of game rest mixed in with practice time is probably the best thing for this group. I wanted them to beat Syracuse just as much as the next fan but when you think of them going out there for another 40 minutes for a grinding physical matchup with Cincy, I think I prefer the alternative. Before someone runs in here and says that last year they didn't need it this is a completely different group, we're not going far without Bazz & Jeremy playing at their best and they've accumulated alot more wear and tear throughout this season and have played and are expected to play alot more minutes. Kemba had a full season(his soph year) learning how to play pretty much the entire game and learning how to pace himself, Bazz & Jeremy are just now getting used to it. Plus with Bazz's foot issues, reports of Jeremy having a sprained toe and being a game time decision for the first DePaul matchup, and Roscoe himself having an achillies issue a few weeks back, having a full week off with JC and the staff going over film and hammering them on some of the issues that have plagued them all season sounds like a good way to prepare for the tourney.

The way Cincy is playing tonight, UConn would have had no shot. They look great.

True, but Cuse is making it pretty easy for them. Between yesterday and today, what happenened to the Cuse O? They don't look like a 1 seed to me

I still think Cuse will win, Cincy's shooting will cool down and they refs let Melo get away with everything.

My concern with this team is lack of leadership. You saw that in the 'Cuse game when Lamb basically disappeared in the late stages and the team fell apart. Too many guys just seem too tentative at the wrong times. The first two tournament games were nice but neither of those teams is going dancing.

I can see one victory, maybe two in the tournament and that's all. Call me negative Nancy and I sincerely hope I'm wrong but we shall see...

The way I see it, freakin VCU/Butler/George Mason/name-the-garbarge--mid-major-team-that-lost-to-a-barely-D1-Team-three-or-four-times-during-the-year.....they all made the final four. Get hot, you win games. Forget match ups, forget leadership, forget all of that. Start hitting your threes, start making plays, then good things happen. Could we lose on the first day? Sure. But thats not why you're going to skip work and watch the game. You're going to watch because there's a chance something special could happen. Even if the odds are that it wont happen.

LOL well of course. I'm just saying the odds don't necessarily favor a run like last year happening again this year, given everything that has happened this year.
