I think getting a full week of game rest mixed in with practice time is probably the best thing for this group. I wanted them to beat Syracuse just as much as the next fan but when you think of them going out there for another 40 minutes for a grinding physical matchup with Cincy, I think I prefer the alternative. Before someone runs in here and says that last year they didn't need it this is a completely different group, we're not going far without Bazz & Jeremy playing at their best and they've accumulated alot more wear and tear throughout this season and have played and are expected to play alot more minutes. Kemba had a full season(his soph year) learning how to play pretty much the entire game and learning how to pace himself, Bazz & Jeremy are just now getting used to it. Plus with Bazz's foot issues, reports of Jeremy having a sprained toe and being a game time decision for the first DePaul matchup, and Roscoe himself having an achillies issue a few weeks back, having a full week off with JC and the staff going over film and hammering them on some of the issues that have plagued them all season sounds like a good way to prepare for the tourney.
