Joey was one of the most unique players in our history / John Gwynn is the only one that comes to mind .
However I saw his future playing in Italy with today’s liberal path to *citizenship via italian ancestry he could qualify as a non foreigner which typically is easier way to make a roster.
* I have great niece who is an Italian citizen and a grandson who is looking into it . Ease of travel throughout the EU is a one plus.
