That was a great story. I can't wait for him to becoming a contributing player.

I agree, that was a great story. I hope he knows that there are a ton of Husky fans behind him and looking forward to seeing him out on the court. I think he can be a real contributor to the team if he hangs in there, keeps working hard and stays focused and positive. He deserves a lot of credit and I hope he gets a shot soon.

Can we please stop the "why did we waste a scholarship on Bradley" nonsense now?

Have people been saying Bradley was a wasted scholarship? I and many others posters have been saying the opposite, that he is getting a raw deal and should be getting PT. Maybe I missed something. Now Wolf on the other hand.....

That's not 'we', that's one person who can't offer a better alternative.

My problem wasn't giving him a scholarship. My problem is him not getting to play. You cannot say he is not good enough. You have no idea. Practice is meaningless.

I'm actually a bigger supporter of his than anyone else because I'm the only one with the courage to say he should play.

You realize the reason he hasn't gotten some minutes is because his ankle isn't 100%, right?

We have a teachable moment here.

If you're ever about to post anything that resembles the above, hit backspace until it's gone.

That way you don't look like a raving lunatic angling for a mention in Profiles in Courage.

MB and EW both have had wonderful stories behind them. They are class people and not just UConn players. They are unsung heroes and Im glad they are on the team.

Can he get another year as a redshirt this year? I imagine he would be OK with that and if he really is injured still then I don't see why this isn't an option?

There's this perception that he isn't UConn's class of player without him even playing, and I don't understand why. I really want the kid to get a shot. All you ever saw was "ankle issue, out six weeks" and that was it. Well, the six weeks were up at the beginning of DECEMBER. It's been six weeks since then. Anything? And people wonder why print media is dead and gone in this country, heaven forbid a member of the Horde do some friggin' diggin' for once. Team's got twelve players. TWELVE. You can't do a follow-up on one of them?

UConn has been wasting this kid's time for two years from a basketball perspective. Fact.

UConn has been wasting this kid's time for two years from a basketball perspective. Has a member of the Horde ever asked about this kid's ability? Or a timetable for his return? They treat him like he's a walk-on.

Meanwhile, AO fumbles everything on the inside.

He's injured.

He's injured.

He was supposed to be ready to go by the start of December. Since then all we have are generic statements about his status. They aren't even hiding behind HIPAA, they're just making up.

I don't know why they would say he was injured if he wasn't, that makes no sense. It's an ankle, it is possible it hasn't healed as it was supposed to heal.

Jim Calhoun recently commented (last week before the Tennessee game) that Bradley's injury was worse than originally thought, and his conditioning has suffered because he couldn't run for three months. He then said he doesn't think he'll be back at all this season because of it.

Straight from the horse's mouth. Feel better now?

At this point, they should medical redshirt him. Unless you think Jim Calhoun will use him in a major Big East game down the stretch.

So what you're telling me is that the medical folks got the diagnosis wrong. That's good. Great.

That's not a fair reaction. Every case of an injury as severe as a broken ankle has its own timeline for recovery. Doctor's are often forced to make estimates when their are multiple variables to consider that will effect that timeline.

There is nothing nefarious going on here. Your paranoia is unfounded.

Why are you acting as if this has never happened before in sports? They originally misdiagnosed it as a high ankle sprain, so why would it be a huge shock if the timetable for his recovery was off as well? He had surgery on a broken ankle, not just an "ankle issue", as you described it. If Calhoun didn't think he was ready to contribute because of where he was at from a talent level I think he would come out and just say it, not say that he was still limping in practice and still dealing with his recovery. Not everyone follows the exact timetable that doctors first blurt out, some come back sooner, some later. Why would the team throw him out there with an injured ankle when there are 4 healthy bigs in the lineup ahead of him? There are some oddball posters on here but I've never seen another react to a team losing the way you do, you act like a child.

If Michael Bradley was 1) healthy, 2) in game shape, and 3) capable of contributing right now to the team's success, he would be playing.

Since he is not playing, it's pretty safe to assume that he doesn't meet all three at the moment.
