Why would you a post an article that says "The Big East clearly is off the college football map"? Geez.

Once you read that the author is a Nebraska grad, you can figure out the apparent "East Coast anti-bias". ACC on the verge of survival, and the Big East playing poor football every week of the fall, huh? Hey Derek Samson, how about Indiana losing to Ball State or North Texas again, or Minnesota can lose again to 1-AA South Dakota State. Maybe Purdue can lose to Rice again or Northwestern can lose to Army, you smug ! Keep up the good work...

Didn't he know who WVU was representing when they smoked Clemson? idiot.

The Big East desperately needs a team to emerge and play in BCS bowl game while ranked in the top ten or so, this year. I'd love it if that was us, but the last thing this league needs this year is for the league to beat itself up and send a perceived undeserving team with an 8-4, or so record. If we get a team at 11-1, or 10-2, and they give a good accounting of themselves, that may go a long way toward a decent tv contract/respect. We really need to take care of business in our non conference games this year.

At 2-13 in BCS bowl games, does the ACC even belong in the top tier of football conferences?

To me, this is the key question. How can anyone exclude the BE but include the ACC based on this fact?

Because ESPN were the first ones to say "Big 5"...
