Coach Wooden had it easy, as did Coaches K and Donovan. Today's in-depth analytics, along with access to live broadcasts, and replays on demand enables everyone of our opponents to be more prepared than ever before, for what is almost certainly their biggest game of the season. It also makes a three-peat, if we can pull it off, an even more amazing accomplishment. And that's without considering all the other obstacles that add to the degree of difficulty.

Just about every team we've played has put up a fight, and we've faced a number of defenses who've made it a priority to not allow easy catch-and shoot baskets from behind the arc. And they've had some success, even in the games we've won. The target on our backs is huge. Every BE game is likely to be a war, and any away losses will result in a court storming. The good news is the entertainment value, and if iron truly sharpens iron, we'll be incredibly well prepared come tournament time. I think this BE seaon is gonna be so much fun.

Yes we are back to back national champions and technology has made scouting so much easier than the last time there was a back to back champion. Teams are more than certainly running data through AI or algorithms to determine tendencies. So teams have never had more data on how another team plays. And we have been top of the pack two years running.

I feel that it would be odd if any team or coaching staff wasn't extensively scouting their competition. People's coaching careers and potential playing careers are on the line. I agree that opposing teams do require a bit of extra scouting if they are to find success defending our O.

Three peat would be an absolutely incredible feat. Diff rosters, transfer portal era, and everyone want's to put a dagger into the b2b champs. We've already seen teams giving extra effort and/or special performances (whether that be all around performance or ungodly shooting from 3). To avoid an L against 6 teams giving it their all against the b2b champs during march madness + everything above would be the greatest feat in cbb history imo. Feel free to @ me.

I'd agree at face value. But I wonder if the best coaches, with all they have on the line, prepare with equal intensity for every game.
However, as a musician, I definitely don't treat every show the same. Sorry, Capitol City Pizza n Brew

Everyone we faced last year had equal opportunity to scout us, we just had the human capital to adjust over their adjustments. The so called "bulletproof". That team had no weakness. We don't have that this year. Teams are extending pressure and are forcing us to put the ball on the floor and make things happen. We now need to make the adjustments to show we are versatile enough to take that on, where Liam becomes an anchor of the offense. Dan Hurley will always stay ahead of it, it’s just a matter of having the players to do it.

Except for Illinois, of course. Nothing they haven't seen before.

It probably is more or less a push but I think overall it might help the lesser teams, especially on defense. It may help them close the gap a little more.

The biggest issue, to me, is that we don't have the same quality of passers that we had the past 2 years. We're getting better, and it's starting to come from different places, so I'm still hopeful. It just bothers me when I see guys get free and don't get a pass because the passer wasn't ready. We were blessed the past 2 years.

Sure. On the flip side Hurley and his staff have the same technology available to scout UConn's opponents that Wooden, K, etc never had. It's a push.
Other teams are watching us because of our style of play. They want to pick things up that they can use. The way Murray scouts European teams. Even teams that we are not going to play scout us. So it's not a push. We are more extensively scouted than most.

If you are a basketball coach and you are not extensively watching film of the most dominant basketball program then what are you even doing? Even NBA coaches are watching us and taking stuff. Just look at JJ Redick's comments over the summer.

He has the players to compete but he has to weigh risks of getting his freshmen into the mix like he did Singare when a necessity arose (foul troubles and a concussion). I am hoping to see more than 2 min mop ups on lopsided wins for both Nowell and Abraham. They are dogs and I believe will be igniters with their speed and energy. We want our opponents to know that they're will be not let up on our end just the way they play hit the (champs) target. We will put on target on them (victims). All aboard.

I don't know that anyone can say yes or no without some proof. You got proof for that "no" answer? What team(s) were more extensively scouted? How and why?

Consider this a criminal trial - the answer is no until proven yes. I have a very hard time looking at three consecutive losses and two overtime wins as evidence the opposing teams were better prepared than they have ever been for any game.
