Do you think UConn will make the NCAA field of teams?

Yes we are as the bubble is so weak this year and our body of work with top 50 wins will get us in.

Everyone seems confident that we are in. I am not so sure...
The bubble is really soft this year (as you have been told). Lunardi (last year only missed two teams) has more than a dozen teams behind us in the tourny. He never misses by that much. We are a lock. All that remains is seeding. N0t sure why you would think 'not so sure' unless you are UConn centric and haven't looked at the bubble teams this year. Bottom line, 20 wins, top 3 SOS, top 35 RPI, there's no way to keep us out. But hey, you got to use that poll feature.

I kinda like the poll feature.

Joe Lunardi, as much as I think the guy is a weenie who doesn't know everything but knows more than most on this board when it comes to bracketology, as of this morning had UConn at #31 on his S curve of 37 teams he considered had a 90% chance of getting into the NCAA Tournament. Then he had 22 teams after those 37 who were on the bubble and 11 of those are in. So as you can see UConn is in pretty good shape here.

Ah let him believe it. It will Selection Sunday more exciting for him. Hopefully our pod is the last one to be announced. He'll really be nervous.

I got new sneakers today.

They're blue. With orange laces. Very Tebow, if you ask me.

I also got a library card. It was easy - they even give you a card that goes on your key ring. (No chance of that happening - it'd ruin my street cred and I have one of those keys that pops out like a switch blade, so I don't have a key ring.)

Hard to say why - I don't really intend on ever going back to the library, but I was right next door to it, so I figured, hey, that seems like something to do. My wife is in education with about eight degrees and I'm a borderline imbecile, so every now and again I like to do something that makes me seem learned. (Pronounced "learn-ED" - it means 'snooty smart'.)

Plus, it's great to impress people with at cocktail parties. ("Say, now where did I put that library card of mine? I have go check out some really big books tomorrow and I'll be needing that library card".)

Anywho, if anyone needs any books, I can totally hook you up.

What tournament?

Burn those laces.

I could burn the laces, but that doesn't take the orange out of the equation.

I suppose I could burn the whole sneaker, but then I'd need a new pair. Which I would then have to burn.

And the cycle would continue until I run out of money or the men in white throw a net over me.

We are in and it's not even close. We are at least a sweet 16 team, and if we can gain some mo, perhaps a final four team. I thought at the beginning of the season we were a sweet 16 and nothing has changed that. Now let's do it!!!!!!

Before the season, I thought 2003 was a good comparison for this team. They made the Sweet 16 as a 5 seed. Let's see if we can do the same this year as a ~10 seed.

Well good for you. You are wrong.

I hope so....

Short list at 14, though that changed last year....we are better than any of those 14 loss teams from last year

Uh we are in....most sites have Uconn as a 9 seed right now. I am 100% sure Uconn is in.

We did just have 6 top 50 wins but USF and WVU just dropped to 51 and 52 in RPI. The Huskies are solidly in.

I agree that its probably 99% that we are in, but every year there are those one or two teams that are locks going into selection sunday that get left out. Then everyone is pointing to a few teams that get in wondering how they got there. I really hope we are not the team that mysteriously is left out

31 RPI saves them.

Some other notes: Every team ranked 38 to 55 in the RPI has 2 or more losses to teams with an RPI between 101-200 except Akron. UConn has 2. 4 of those teams have losses to teams with an RPI over 200.

Wins over the top 100 RPI: Only 1 team, Xavier, has more than UConn's 9 wins between RPI 32 and 55. Four other teams are tied: all of them are in the BE except California which has no wins against the Top 50.

The RPI tells you something.
