I think it’s the same as last year.

The only difference is the face masks are blue or black. I think the facemask color is throwing you off.

The helmet blue doesn’t match the jersey/pants. My guess is they changed up the helmets with the intention that next year we may have new uniforms. There is a deliberate use of red highlights around the husky logo similar to the use in other sports. Mora mentioned red as a sometimes color in a recent video.

The blue is the same shade as last year for both helmets and uniforms. They put blue facemasks (they look dark, but they're blue) on the blue helmets and put a red border around the Husky logo on the helmets. Seems like they might be working red trim back into the football unis. Maybe it's better that way since all the other UConn sports teams have that too.

I like the new helmets this year. I’ve also grown to like the use of red. Men’s basketball had a red warm-up jersey and, in though I consider myself a “national flag blue and white” kind of guy when it comes to our colors, it undeniably looked good.

I can see it's the same as I expected, thank you!

When watching on tv, it appeared lighter. I have a nice Sony OLED, so I didn't suspect poor color from the tv. I also saw a photo in the Courant the next day or so, and it definitely looked lighter, same as the color on tv. I'll look closer tomorrow.

Temps will be in the upper 70s-low 80s during gametime. Low humidity. The all-blue unis shouldn't be a factor today. Plus no altitude or artificial turf problems.
