A healthy confidence, with a slight dose of arrogance, and a healthy dose of Sarcasm, with just enough humility are some of the many things I enjoy about you Boneyarder's! If I missed an adjective or was off on the "dosage" I apologize!

They lost 4 games last season to 2 teams BU with Griner and ND with diggins. With both of those players now in the WNBA, what team is going to challenge Uconn?

Great question- but I can't imagine who predicted L Ville over Baylor? I was at Gampel when St Johns shut us down. Their guard play was superb - especially that night! But we are experienced, deep and very talented both ends of the court. The Maryland away game is the one I'd like to be at! If there is going to be a Gd game- that's the one that I figure.

Is the Tulsa Shock on the Huskies' schedule this year?

Geno will get to install a lot of new wrinkles this season that he could not install last season with all the injuries. Expect new defensive traps full court, more offense running thru Stewie and Stef..High Low, plus, the best guards in the country...........Geno will mix and match players to create did chemistry's and to keep them from getting bored..........

"UConn is a prohibitive favorite not only to win a ninth title, but to win every game they play — and by a wide margin."

Must be one of those arrogant Uconn fans.
Yes Pat Eaton-Robb from Sacramento is a well known arrogant UCONN fan. Their all over the place.

Loved this quote from KML

"We just need a team to play against," Mosqueda-Lewis said. "It doesn't matter who it is."

Actually, Patrick is an AP reporter from the Hartford area. The Sacramento Bee just picked up the story. UConn is certainly the prohibitive favorite this season.

Hope the male practice team is really good this year....after the opening games, they won't have many challenges it seems, until things heat up again at the end of the season. I'm really looking forward to the Duke game.

.-.
What will Duke have as an excuse this year? I am hoping that all the teams on UCONN's schedule stand up and play them tough............REALLY!!!!!....Thinking about this years schedule the game at Louisville in March before the AAC tournament will be the toughest........for 30 minutes..........YUM YUM!!!

I sure hope that UConn isn't approaching this season as a "done deal". Duke is reporting that Williams is healthy for the first time in a year and a half and they have 2 guards at least as good as CT's. With the new rules and the way some games at the Indoor are called, I'd expect a much closer game than most here seem to be anticipating. I'd say that they are in the same position as ND 3 years ago. (except for the coaching)

I agree. I certainly hope we continue the recent trend, but I think we've exceeded the rational over/under the last few games, and we shouldn't assume it can keep up forever.

I am looking forward to seeing the Duke game............Duke plays only 3 games outside Durham before the end of Dec and 3 in ST Thomas over Thanksgiving............Road games at Cal in Nov, At Oklahoma 9 days before UCONN.........Do you think they want to prepare for this UCONn team?...Todays Duke Blue White and Coach P interviews...http://www.goduke.com/mediaPortal/player.dbml?&db_oem_id=4200&id=3088773
What do you think??.........They want to play 10 deep with No drop off......Really?

What excuse did Duke have last year.. and the years before that??

.-.
At least it wasn't one of our players.
And no one used the "hands down" phrase!

I think we have about 6-8 potentially competitive games in the regular season. We'll see how things turn out. In the past, I put our 30-point wins over Duke, Oklahoma, Ohio State, and Florida State, plus a 50-point win over UNC, in that category before the games were played.

IMHO, all we need do is not beat ourselves.

If Maryland is healthy, they have a chance to beat UConn. If Chelsea Gray is one hundred percent, Duke also has a chance to defeat the Huskies. Will they? We'll find out.
