Kind of big drop for a loss against a very good team but perhaps giving up 100+ startled some voters.

Thank goodness we beat UNH by more than 20 or we would have taken a hit just like Purdue. Makes no difference these early season polls are just something to get clicks they mean nothing.

Agreed, seems to me they are always overrated. That pretty much gets validated come tournament time except for the one year we beat them in the championship game.

The one and only reason I think Purdue can be competitive is that Smith and Loyer are now in their 4th season as a tandem with more tourney experience than any pair of guards in the country. And I think that counts in March. You just don't see that kind of continuity in the NIL world.

I doubt they beat Bama, and I think UConn would overpower them, but I still would expect them to make the 3rd weekend.

Delaware leads #7 BYU 37-34 at halftime.

Delaware was without a couple starters, BYU shot terribly, and Delaware led by 10 for a while. Then Delaware had another couple guys get hurt, BYU's shots started going in, and they were just overmatched from there. Would've lost by 40 if the game went another 5 minutes.

It's only one big game, but Carolina is going to be a handful for anybody. I expect the youth will mean some inconsistency, but the size they can throw at you is going to be hard to deal with. They will move up from #18.
