UConn holds steady at #5. Michigan and Michigan State top risers, not a surprise. We've beaten 3 of the top 15 if we count Michigan State.

lol’ing at #3 having over twice as many 1st place votes as #2

St John’s barely holds on. They are the only 3 loss team that is ranked

Michigan state looks pedestrian against us. It will not be close with reed if we play them again. We are a bad match up for them.

Still seems weird we played Michigan State as an exhibition. Exhibition games used to be Marathon Oil. Why have a top team on the schedule if it doesn't count?
I hear you but it’s a great way to see what bugs you have to work out before the season starts vs putting up 120 points vs Marathon oil. Better what we have now than the old exhibitions and “secret scrimmages”.

I’ll take 5 (for now). Hard to argue anyone in front of us.
Feel like UCONN and Duke are a coin flip for 4 and 5.

Interesting that as many #1 votes that Michigan got that they are behind AZ. Some voters must’ve had them pretty low?

My biggest thing is I don't know how much to count it in our favor. We beat Michigan State! But it didn't count. But both teams were trying! But it was an exhibition.

How is St John's still ranked with 3 losses?
The pollsters love some Rick Pitino, and all 3 losses were to top 25 teams. St. John’s needs to beat Ole Miss and Kentucky to stay in the top 25 though.

How is St John's still ranked with 3 losses?
UConn was still ranked @ #25 after the Maui debacle last season, and that included a loss to an awful power conference team in Colorado. If you start off at a high enough position then it's harder to fall out, especially if you are losing to other ranked teams like STJ has.

Only AP poll that matters is week 6. Look it up if you wish.
