Louisville and Ohio State swap places: Louisville jumps from #9 to #5. Ohio State drops from #5 to #9.
Stanford drops from #10 to #14.
Missouri drops from #16 to #23 (after losing to Western Kentucky).
That bumps South Florida up a spot, from #23 to #22 (the win over LSU was big).
DePaul, from #25, drops out after losing to Northern Colorado.
Kentucky enters at #25 in DePaul's place.

UConn still No. 1 as top four of women's hoops poll same

Wow, that seems fairly generous for Stanford. Only dropped 4 spots after losing 2 games by 20+? Really? Yes they opened the season with 2 games against other teams rated in the top 10, but they should've dropped more spots than 4.

Marquette moved up 1 spot despite not playing a game yet. Bottom line--it's too early for polls. Not enough data points to reference yet.

Maybe they got some credit for not losing by 60. :)

By far the most common way of moving up in the polls is to have the teams ahead of you lose.

Marquette will be tested soon enough. They play Tennessee in Cancun on Nov. 23. And they'll travel to Notre Dame in December.

Yeah, maybe they impressed pollsters trimming a 35 point halftime deficit to 25.

It is too early. It's difficult to rank teams that are normally top 25 when most of them begin the season playing cupcakes. Programs that are nowhere near their level in talent or experience. Until they play at least two ranked teams, you really can't judge how good they are. Give Tara credit. Stanford played two top ten teams on the road right out of the gate. How many other programs are doing that?

First (1) raised to the second power is still 1. (Unless that is part of a very very subtle joke?)
