At least the teams we've struggled with play in major conferences. Arizona beat Drexel by 4. Syracuse beat St. Francis NY by 6. Duke has two losses and beat Vermont by 1.

If you're going to move down every team that doesn't beat people by enough points, you're going to have a hard time filling a top 10.

Because Arizona didn't struggle with Drexel. Because Syracuse didn't struggle with St. Francis. Because Michigan State didn't lose at home to an inconsistent UNC team. Because Duke hasn't beaten any of the good teams they've played yet and barely beat UVM in Cameron.

Theres a difference between being the voice of reason and being negative, your being the latter. This team wins close games, it's just their make-up. How many top ten teams have lost those close games or barely snuck by against teams they should blow out. KU vs CU, Duke barely beat UVM, Louisville got beat by UNC, Cuse is #2 and had had their fair share of close ones. None of those games should have even been close on paper.

We have plenty of weakness's, I completely agree, but if you watch the other top 10 teams play this year and say they're more deserving of a top 10 ranking than we are then you need reevaluate a lot of things.

The way UConn is built down low, with a top 3 pointer shooter struggling in Calhoun, and Napier making what appears to be a conscious effort to lay back and not wear down his body in the games we don't need him and that explains some of the closer scores than we would like.

Should be a wild year. You can be beat on any night by at least 30 teams this year. No dominant team. You had OSU beat Memphis by 30 than lose to them a week later. Everyone has showed they can be beat.

in 2011 we were 9-9 in conference play, including a blow-out loss to St. John's. We won the national title that year. Games will be close, games will be ugly, we will still be good.

Top 10. Ranked higher then UK and KU (who I had to hear about during the entire off season) not bad.

I have to also say that if the talking heads could have keep us out of the top ten they would have done it- WINNING left them no choice.

I say grinding it out in a close game is the mark of a championship team. Remember all those times when we said "we shoulda won", when we were ahead by a dozen points, let the lead slip away & LOST? I admire the heart & intestinal fortitude of this team to triumph in close games. Like someone else said, we have Bazz & you don't!

Why would we lose to Syracuse? I think we would beat them at the Carrier Dome this year. Last year they were a better team (we won at XL). We match up well with Cuse this year.

Michigan State? Beat them on a neutral court last year with Nix. Are you saying we are not as good as last year?
