UConn moves up 1 spot to #6. UNC +5, GA Tech -4, Cal +6.

Michigan & Iowa drop out, Minnesota and Oklahoma State get added.

Interesting that Texas dropped two spots when their only losses are to the teams ranked #2 and #3. (Then again, it was a really ugly loss to SC—but that’s assuming the AP voters watched, which doesn’t always seem to be the case from what I’ve read here.)

I'm sure a lot more people saw TX lay an egg against #2 SC than saw them demolish #18 Bama by 40 last week. The SC performance was too poor to ignore, so the Horns fell.

Texas uses the LSU model of preseason opponents so when they do lose they don't have a good resume to back it up. Falling one or two spots though really isn't too bad considering the losses they have were both by double digits.

24 power conference plus UConn.

Sadly, with the direction things are going, the power conferences will leave ncaa at some point (hopefully including UConn) and 64 teams in the power tourney will all be power conference too.
