Our program being effed with to the direct benefit of the 'old guard'

Well, that is pretty much exactly what the NCAA had in mind wasn't it

This is starting to feel like when you break up with your girlfriend and she ends up with someone who might be better looking than you. Now of course I don't know what that really feels like(every morning the handsome man in the mirror tells me I'm the epitome of male perfection) but I imagine some of you do, or have played a role playing game that resembles that situation.

i think this is a bit funny. he has such a issue with effort and softness but yet all these coaches think they can change that. its up to him to change that. maybe a change of campus works, who knows. but it isnt stuff u can teach with ao. its all between the ears and how much he hits the gym in the off season.

It is funny-I thought AO worked real hard last summer. I still can't figure out how he went backwards-it is all between the ears with him. He would be so psyched out if he played against us next year-he would try extra hard and be a mess.

the issue with ao is confidence. i think calhoun stripped that from him early this season and he was never able to bounce back. it got to the point where he was overthinking every step when he needed to simply react, have fun, and play basketball. i think with the right situation, ao can have a nice bounce back year next season. too bad it wont be for us.

Any truth to a rumor I saw that BCU is also on the non transfer list?

Best thing for UConn, no doubt. And finally we are free from one of the worst/most trying recruiting classes in recent Huskie memory.

UNC could be a good fit for him if they lose everyone as early rumors had them - he'd be a main man on a visible team. Alex would probably do really well in the ACC. Still sucks it's come to this though.

I don't care where he goes, but at least if he goes to UNC or Duke, we're fairly well-assured that he's taken care of business, APR-wise.

If he leaves and hurts the APR, I hope his feet fall off.

#UConn forward Alex Oriakhi cannot transfer within Big East or to SEC school. SEC doesn't allow transfers with 1 year of eligibility left.

So this means that Duffy is completely making up the Kensucky interest then ? I was surprised to see that anyway, surely they are focusing on the Final Four, and recruiting big guys that know how to make layups

Softness is not an issue. And attitude wasn't an issue until he perceived he was being treated unfairly. Then attitude, for a while, became an issue.

Calhoun does not have to treat players fairly, but some on this board act like it's unheard of for an athlete (or employee for that matter) who is treated unfairly to let it effect his performance. I guaranty you -- absolute guaranty -- that there are people on this board who've complained about AO who were treated unfairly in a job and either looked to get out of it or let it effect their performance.

Calhoun is a great coach because most of his methods work a high percentage of the time. But, in this case, he tried pushing a very good player too hard, or in the wrong way, and it didn't work. Or, sammydabiz and others like him know more about hoops than Pitino, K and Roy Williams.

Between sammy and those three, guess where the smart money is.

And there are some who have never been treated unfairly, love their job and have to treat some of the people who work for them in a similar fashion on ocassion!!.... and believe it's ludicrous anyone believes he was ever treated unfairly. He didn't work to get what he wanted handed to him, I guess you would hand things over to those who do not deserve it huh? Okay so your #1 sales guy makes you 5M one year but loses 50% of his accounts while on his boat or golfing after all of his success......you going to say "Hey don't worry about it thanks for last year"???? Pretty sure this guy let his success affect his performance and so did AO - expectations is what it's called? I have it coming to me even if I fall short.....not with guys like JC, not with players on the roster who want your minutes....nope ALL on AO and I am not at all unhappy about this separation. This will only affect the team from a depth point of view not at all from production!! Not a biggie..........the fans and JC have been disrespected and anyone who could feel any other way, well that's your deal I guess!!
