Hopefully he gets his stroke down, he'll see the line plenty.

Well, the internet feed screen was small, but the one time they showed a foul shot it was Andre clanging one hard off the backboard....they need to check that backboard, likely cracks aplenty. Now he can turn it down a few notches on the amount of force needed to get the ball to the rim ;).

We may to bring in Rick Barry to teach a new FT technique.

Oh god that free throw was painful to watch. Hopefully he can get to be decent in time, but wow it looks like we're going to see some bricks this year.

I'll think he'll end up being better than we all believe from the line.

I can't imagine this will get 'completely' fixed this season. So opposing teams will be 'drummin' the Drummond!

First game jitters. The kid didn't practice much since the concussion. And that mask must have driven him crazy. I'm hoping these are the reasons for that foul shot.

I'm sure they won't all be like that ... but there's no doubt teams are going to look to foul him ... especially with his ability to dunk from nearly anywhere.

The one plus, that little fade-away from the baseline he took was really smooth despite the fact that it didn't go in.

I don't know if the concussion was the reason. I may be wrong but I feel like I read somewhere that he was a sub-50% FT shooter in high school.

the good thing about teams fouling drummond is that we have a lot of other really good free throw shooters, so the team can potentially get to the team limit really fast. This will help players like SN and JL from getting bumped on the outside. If they do get bumped, than they will start going to the line really early in the half.

I have heard that Drummond makes D Howard look like a good foul shooter. Its weird because he supposedly has a decent mid range game.

look at bruce bowen's stats. He led the NBA in 3 pt percentage at 44% in 02-03, but shot 40% from the line. He is a career 39% 3 pt shooter and 57% from the free throw line. A good catch and shoot or pull up off the dribble shooter is not necessarily a good free throw shooter. It is definitely still weird though.

Maybe he can try taking a jumpshot from the FT line instead, that's still legal right?
