DePaul is getting their clocks cleaned. In the 2nd qtr Dayton is shooting something like 11/13 from 3.

I mean Dayton’s got to regress a bit to the mean, right? Apparently they usually shoot only about 35% from 3.

I mean theyre down 30 to another bubble team with a full quarter left to go....a lot of the blame has to be on DePaul. Can't just chalk it up as Dayton playing well.
For starters....the three pt percentage is beyond well. It's an anomaly. And no...Depaul isn't helping matters, but I disagree they don't deserve to be in the tournament based on a single game performance.

Imagine the selection show was tomorrow. For me it would be hard to see how a such a lopsided loss to another bubble team, wouldn’t leave them on the outside looking in.

DePaul is a way better team than UMass and UMass handed Dayton their bums a week ago. I really was expecting DePaul to whip Dayton easily today. Apparently I don’t predict well. I also predicted Notre Dame would bum whip my alma mater in that game, so I am hopeful that I will be equally as wrong and UMass will whip ND like Dayton is knocking out DePaul. Go A-10?

Morrow padding her stats down 33 with 2 minutes to go. I'm sure we'll hear from the same voices who whined when Bueckers was on the floor in a 20+ point game till the end against ND.

Why not? Who else came to play? Good experience for her.

If it's irresponsible and dangerous for Bueckers to be on the floor in a 20+ point game until the end, which I heard endlessly after the ND game, then Morrow being on the floor in utter garbage time, padding her stats, is likewise irresponsible and dangerous. The situation doesn't change because one got hurt and one didn't.

We both know if Bueckers didn't get hurt, or if it were someone else...the critics would have been silent. A player can get hurt at any moment. That's the reality. Having said that, if Morrow got hurt, she had all summer and fall to rehab.

Nice win for Dayton. Happy for former Gamecock, Araion Bradshaw. Will be rooting for the Flyers to take down UGA.

So what would you do about teams who have lost to teams not even in the tournament? It's one game, right? Looking at Dayton's resume they haven't beaten any team to this extent...even really bad teams. They don't even score this many points consistently. In other words, their performance last night isn't what they normally do. On the flip side, I doubt Depaul has scored so few points all year. The perfect storm here. It happens. AND...one of their best players has been back like...a week? Two tops? Don't get me wrong Depaul flat out sucked tonight.

Was very surprised by DePaul's performance last night. I haven't seen a lot of their games this season, but I don't remember them ever being this disjointed in a game. Credit to Morrow and her drive to keep pushing. Looking forward to seeing how she progresses next season.

Did anyone hear the quote from the commentators when they talked about how Coach Bruno had recruited her mother? Thought that was kind of cool.

Yes Dayton shot the ball well, but DePaul seemed to take DePaul ball to the extreme last night. They were chucking up awful shots for most of the first half, and playing virtually no defense. Any team is going to shoot above average when they have consistent time and space.

DePaul really seemed to struggle in the back half of the season. I don’t want a majority of their games so I can’t be sure of what exactly happened.

Congrats to Dayton!

Will be interesting to follow if young players like Morrow who are having so much success stick around at a school which doesn't receive as much notoriety as some other programs. The transfer portal along with NIL is really changing things in all sports.

It's literally the last game of the season though. Why not let your best player finish out her NCAA tournament experience, especially when she's the only player with a pulse on her team.

Not really, no defense, slow getting back had many shots blocked.
I don't think anyone believe she played a perfect game but she definitely showed up. If 28 and 17 isn't showing up then I don't know what is. If I remember correctly she scored all 12 of DePaul's points in the 3rd quarter. Many of her teammates had some negative body language in the 2nd half but Morrow never quit and I find that admirable, especially for a freshman.
