Anyone see Elizabeth Kitley on Friday?

Florida Gulf Coast edged her Va. Tech team. FGC is usually trouble for some team
Mel Thomas...our very own...was women's sports director there for a while. Anyone know of what Mel is doing?

I had never heard of Kitley...a 6'6" junior...3rd team AA. She had 42 points....little offensive help.
Not a body-mover a la Boston but tremendous offensive skills. Post moves...right and left hand...beautiful soft touch facing the basket
from 6-8 feet. She was torching FGC all game...especially early in the 4th quarter. FGC finally...finally... began to double and triple her.
Glad to see a power 5 team lose....but sorry to have to wait till next year to see Kitley again.

Uhhh...Geno...keep an eye out on the portal...she'll have 3 years of eligiblity left 'thanks' to covid.

Tallest player on FGCU is 6' 1".

I was there. I thought Kitley was going to pull it out. She missed a huge shot near the end of the game and then FGCU hit the huge three pointer with the assist from Bell. Kitley has one more year at Tech. I hope Virginia Tech and Maryland play in the ACC-Big 10 challenge.

I love Kitley’s game. I watched VA Tech whenever I could. She and Elissa Cunane are friends and both are from Summerfield, NC. Kitley is a Northwest Guilford alumna, and Cunane graduated from Northern Guilford.
