Where did that come from??? He's never shown such a move. If he can become more consistent with that move he can become that double figure scorer we all expected him to become.
And, if we can get him to consistently rebound like he did in last year's Texas game, then AO can make himself a lot of money in the NBA.

Love AO as a husky, but the closest he's going to get to the NBA is if he joins the National Bricklayers Association.

Oriakhi is much closer to being a pro then you are to being funny...he's got a pro body, was a McDee, other big east coaches have said he will be a pro. I could see him being in the NBA if he works on his hands more, developed a mid range shot and most importantantly playing with confidence. He is a very good and smart defensive player. Did you not see the talent he has vs the games Texas and Mich state last year. The guy is a beast he just needs to let it come out on a more consistent and often basis

Consistency is what AO needs to make the NBA. Right now, he hasn't shown it. Hopefully he comes back and becomes that guy we hoped he'd be.

ummmmmm. The guy has had a rough year but lets not kid ourselves. When his head is on straight and he isn't commiting idiotic fouls, he has shown incredible defensive prowess and awareness. combine that with his potential rebounding ability, he can obviously play in the league. some of you guys just need to stop being prisoners of the moment. did you not see AO in our run last year?

That spin move was pretty damn cool.
I'd like to see him do that more often.

He got called for some fouls earlier this season on backdown moves that other guys get away with. Once though you get noted as a guy who tries to back guys down; it really sets the opponent up for a spin move since he is psuhing against you at one point......which actually makes the spin move more effective.; quite frankly.

Prisoner of the moment? It is more like prisoner of the whole year. I like AO as a kid, but he hasn't done much at all this year. Yes, he played well at times last year, but that was almost a full season ago. If you are a player you can't be absent for basically an entire season. Only way he plays professionally is if he proves he can rebound and hold onto the ball consistently.

Being a McD AA doesn't mean anything.

Hands aren't something "you work on" too often but you never know.....great kid, like him but he has a long way to go to have a look at an NBA roster.......If you can't shoot and you don't rebound because you can't catch the ball I need to know what it is which will gain their attention? Hope he does everything he needs to in order for them to watch next year it will be good for all of us!!

AO is averaging 7 and 5.
NBA?
It's a huge stretch unless something changes dramatically in the 15 months he's got left to improve his game.

That's the whole point when I started this thread. Nobody is callng AO a 1st rounder, but, if he can duplicate that move to the hoop on a regular basis, and, rebound consistently, like he did in last year's Texas game, he has a very good shot.

Well if he is not a first rounder his chances diminish.

When AO tries to back down an opponent he gets very animated in how he uses his backside to to the defender. While shoving the opponent with your is how you back opponents down, it cannot be that obvious without a foul being called. I'm surprised that he hasn't figured this out yet but there is still time.

As far as an NBA career, the way i see it, if Jorts can land on an NBA roster there has to be room for AO somewhere in that league.
