I am inexplicably nervous about the game(s) in Bridgeport. I am sure it is largely due to Mizzou and Duke being upset in the men's tourney.

I am almost never nervous about the first two games in the tournament so not sure why I am feeling this way.

If you are nervous about these two rounds you may need a xanax. There is zero chance that UCONN loses in Bridgeport.

Don't worry about Bridgeport...there are lots of cops around.
Thanks! That was actualy my biggest concern.

I am not worried about PVAM. However, do not discount Princeton. I expect them to rout K State. Rasheed is an All-BE talent. They play hard and smart. They are the best Ivy team in years. They want to prove a point and will be encouraged by the men's upsets. We'll need to be ready.

pretty much. Not sure what the men's tourney has to do with women's basketball. Depth of talent is far greater, and all of the early defections to the nba hurt the elite programs. Watch what happens to Kentucky. As much talent as they have, I bet they find a way to lose because of their youth.

PV A&M is a glorified scrimmage. K-State just isn't very good. They were a combined 1-6 against the three teams we played, the lone win being a two pointer at home against A&M. They are 19-13. They lost to Missouri. I suppose it's possible they could make it tougher than expected, but lose the game tougher? No.

Princeton, the other possible second round opponent, doesn't even have scholarship players. Do you remember what the uconn men's team did to Harvard this year, disappointing as they were? It would be even uglier on the women's side. UConn is not losing to an Ivy League school. If Delaware, DePaul, Stanford and Navy found a way to beat them, so will Geno.

UConn hasn't failed to make it to the Sweet 16 in 18 straight years. That streak isn't getting broken now.

One other point- Princeton hasnt played a quality opponent since December and when they did, they lost. It's going to take some adjusting just to get through k-State. They are not prepared to handle UConn's speed, pressure, and athleticism.

Geez. You had me thinking about whether I could be a PVAM fan for a day. Not really.

I didn't say PVAM....I said Bridgeport. And I did say inexplicably. Usually when I get nervous the team plays very well. I should be more worried when I am not nervous. Only happened three times this year. The two ND regular season games and St. Johns. You know what happened there.

I may be coming down with some virus. That might account for it.
