I’ve never been to Texas during a snow or a cold spell but
I spent a lot of time in Tennessee and Ky
I almost froze to death in a Nashville hotel on a night in the teens with a heavy wind. when the room heater/AC failed. It was close to the airport but I couldn’t get in at my normal hotel. It had a door to the outside a no no and I had to stuff towels under the door to keep the wind out.
I hate the cold. that’s why I live where I live. although I’ve seen overnight lows in the teens. We normally have a have a huge swing in temperature.,. I’m such a wimp the day time highs have been only 60 and I’ve been doing my steps indoors. I did a 5k walk at pace in my kitchen already and will do another as soon as I post.

Wintering in Houston as of this year. "Great pick" about now. (Like how I did that?). If people weren't dying it would be comical with the blizzard reports. And half inch of snow. Back to Westport and beach for May thru +/- 10/15.
