Hasn't appeared in the past few games for Penn State, but can't find any information about her status. Anyone know? Not exactly OT, if we consider all Huskies, current, former, future, and those who left, to be part of the UConn family.

The announcers in the last Penn State game I watched said she was out because of illness. I believe she was averaging a double double.

It's a good question and not off-topic at all.

For those who are newbies or forgot:

"It's been hard, she hasn't been healthy with wrist and Achilles issues," Auriemma said. "And the other problem is the academic issues we are trying to work through. It's like she hasn't been there. It's been a struggle, it really has. It's been a struggle for her, not so much for us, but a huge struggle for her."

Boykin, a 6-foot-2 forward, averaged 21.5 points in six games last season before getting hurt in high school. Her career ended with 1,225 points, 659 rebounds and 247 assists and she was still voted a McDonald's All-American after being the Gatorade player of the year in Maryland as a junior. She was also a highly decorated USA Basketball player, having won three gold medals in international competition.

I was disappointed at this departure and felt she would have made a significant contribution. Hope she's back at it soon.

Wouldn't be Off-Topic even if she never played for UConn.

On-topic is women's basketball, all levels - high school, AAU, college, pro, international.

Off-topic is everything else.

DJB has played in 8 of the 11 games and is averaging 8.1 ppg and a solid 10.4 rpg.

The Duke guard with the ACL tear is her cousin.

So sorry to hear about her cousin. No matter which school they play for, you want these young ladies to be healthy and happy. ACL's are the concussions of women's sport. Devastating.
