Duke, Arizona, Michigan, Florida, UConn, Purdue, North Carolina (before Wilson's injury) were a pretty clear group of teams that had their 4 and 5 in the top 50 of a lot of analytics. Four 1 seeds, two 2 seeds, and an injured pairing that got a 6.

Duke's rated the highest.

Evan Miya. EvanMiya CBB Analytics

Boozer/Ngongba, Krivas/Peat/Awaka, Mara/Johnson/Lux (since he's a giant 3). Huskies up there too as Tarris rates very highly. Being big and strong is proving to separate the contenders. What we do at the 4 & 5 in portal is going to be significant.

Cenac/Tugler is a good one.

This has annoyed me for months and I never bothered to call it out. Miya. It's Evan Miya. It is literally typed out in your link 2 millimeters away from where you mis-typed it.

Also for someone who seems to take in so much national college basketball content you seem to miss all the praise for UConn's big men and development, and how we'll have our pick of transfers and recruits because of how great we've been at development

It is all an excuse to find new ways to say he doesn’t think much of Alex Karaban. It’s a running theme and it comes up constantly. Then he wonders why people don’t like him

Don't listen to those chuckleheads. I have never seen a crazier fanbase - there are no close seconds. He may be, and it would be for the payday. And I suspect it would lead to more of no defense, lacking team-centric vibe. Pope doesn't seem to really put a roster together strategically at all, just sends checks out to players that look good and see what sticks.

That said, we really need to not lose our best talent to the portal. If our net out is better than the net in, it's not a good thing.

Is Vaaks for sure out? He is most likely out, but just because he is in the transfer portal it doesn't mean he can't come back to Providence.

I would love a traditional PF. But we dont get them in the portal and we dont recruit any. Was listening to a pod earlier and they were into Tarris' younger brother Tristan, who commited to Miss St. 6'9" 240. Sounds perfect.

We haven't gotten them in the portal because we've had Alex Karaban. We're going to get a very good 4 in the portal in a few weeks

The transfer portal doesn't open until April 7 and Vaaks hasn't said anything about his intentions. But @FriarJ said he was the only non-senior player at PC to not attend Hodgson's introductory press conference. He said it's pretty certain Vaaks is leaving PC.

And Providence fans I spoke with seemed confident in their ability to retain others but not him.
