Watching the Zags/TXAM game and and one of the refs called an over-and-back instead of waiting to see that the player crossing half-court backed off to make sure he got both feet down before touching the ball. There was a similar quick whistle in the game and at least one in the UConn game where the refs are blowing the whistle before the play seems to have even taken place. There were a few calls where it seemed to be all ball and the refs blew the whistle so early that there was no way they saw what they thought they saw unless they can see the future.
I wish the NCAA would review these types of calls and put it a point of emphasis for the refs to wait till the play actually takes place before raising their arm and blowing the whistle.
Has anyone else noticed this happening for years and feel likewise?
