Bill Self with the assist. Williamson was supposed to be a Kansas lock, but word is that on his OV, Self pissed his mom off. Now he’s Louisville bound and Kansas took a lower ranked wing today. Not all OVs go well.

Yup it’s basically them or St Johns. Kentucky is on Tshiebwe. If that all happens, it looks like Kofi will come down to UConn vs. St Johns.
Saw that Chris Mack flew out to Ireland for an in-home with Igiehon's mom and Mullins decided to send his top assistant instead of making the trip himself. Bet that will factor into his decision. Hopefully Mullins is that lazy with Cockburn too.

He didn’t even go at an AAU event until like June so it wouldn’t shock me. That guy needs to go...

Mack is a good coach and a great recruiter but if he can get talent to UL with all their issues, DH should find a way to get this type of talent here, we hope - PLEASE

My question is why is there stability? Will nothing really come of this?

Or hopefully when FBI trials conclude NCAA takes all the stuff and doles out some sanctions.

Nothing will happen to them. They are P5 and the ACC and ESPN will make absolutely certain that they will be protected.

UConn has worked Kofi really hard. Checking all the boxes.

That's all UConn and Hurley can do and then see where the chips fall. My hope is he wants to get out of NYC which would bold well for UConn and yet close enough.

The longer the process takes to sign anyone of quality, the more it’s obvious how much this conference continues to affect our recruiting efforts. This staff appears to be putting in the work and doing everything right to attract top talent but kids want programs from P5 conferences. Hopefully Bouknight signs tomorrow and the dominoes fall into place after that but the AAC is a recruiting nightmare.

I think the fact that UConn has not really been competitive in this glorified high school league the past few years has a little something to do with it as well.

There is no question that the conference is making the job tougher for us. Just no way around it. If Hurley is able to get the class we are hoping for, and we are once again competitive with the top teams in the country, it will get easier to recruit. There are sucessful programs not in P5 or Big East. Gonzaga, Nevada come to mind. But getting over the hump this year is of utmost importance. A good class and a decent season. It’s not all that long ago we were national champs.

Sorry but we don't want to be like Gonzaga and Nevada.

Just got another ESPN top 100 guy. Only team with 4 of them. What a world

Why not? If the ncaa actually does the right nothing they’ll all bounce via the Shea Patterson rule.
