I thought what happens in Connecticut Stays in Connecticut? or was that Las Vegas?

That one, or a variation, has been around forever. Tasha Pointer? or one of RU's other major players had to sit out a game for playing in an unsanctioned game during the summer.

I don't have an issue with the rule(s) since I think the college staff should have an idea what players are up to and it is their responsibility to ensure the players comply. It was my understanding at the time that it was Rutgers' "oops", and I'll put this one on Memphis.

Agree.

Shoni Schimmel had to sit out the season opener her sophomore year against Texas A&M, and maybe another 1 or 2 (I can't remember) for this. She played in some Rez tourney the summer after freshman year, a tourney she had played in every year up to that point.
