...and I'm pleased with the play minus Moriah, even against an overmatched opponent. Everyone seemed to have an idea where they should be and what they should be doing, with only a couple of mis-communication events that I saw.
Get well soon, Moriah!
Get the data here.
Natalie continues to lead the team in most per-40 categories.
I'm impressed by the team's FT shooting. They don't shoot many (16.67/game) but they make 76.5% of them, which is good for 22nd out of the 344 NCAA Div I WBB teams. UConn usually doesn't rank anywhere near that high, but Napheesa & Katie Lou have added their 80%+ results to Moriah and Stewie's and Saniya is filling in for Kiah.
The team A/To is a very high 1.82, but that's not good enough for first place this year. Villanova is at 1.94! There are 71 teams at or over 1.00, which is unusual.
BTW, those last data re 'Nova come from the NCAA's statistics pages. I've created a link page to some of the interesting places on the NCAA site, and it's been updated for this year's changes. You can find it here. There is a ton of information on every sport in all 6 divisions (yes, 6), including archives that go back to the 1988-89 season. (The stats for some of the old years are scans of the handwritten scorer's sheet.)
Enjoy!
