How to beat the whip-around coverage on ESPN.

Let's all petition Geno not to play any of our starters in the first half. Keep the score down to say a 5 - 10 point lead. Then ESPN won't switch it over. Just think, the announcers will be going crazy - possible colossal upset! Actually all the other games will be switched to UCONN. Then with about ten minutes left in the game, bring in the starters, still plenty of time to generate a 35 point win.

Rest our starters, the back up players get tournament experience and we get to watch the whole game! What could be better than that?

I'm thinking our bench could probably get a 20 point lead. KML, Stokes, Banks? Those are starters for most other programs :)

Wouldn't it be easier to change the channel to the low def station? I believe they carry the local teams on the regular def when they switch to more competative games on high def.

Or move to ESPN3 which is showing every game.

SONNY - you are ALWAYS ahead of the times. Good one. Very frustrated by that situation and was contemplating trying some kind of a boycott, but know it wouldnt fly. ESPN certainly has the capability and the bucks to regionalize coverage.....but, no, they have to "show off" their ability to leap around the country and give folks stuff they really don't want to see.
DOGGY - wow! Hope that is on target.....gives me hope
PAP - we don't seem to get that ESPN3 anymore. (Check your private mail, by the way.....or Inbox...or Conversation....or whatever it is called on this new site))

Seriously, thanks I didn't know that. But wouldn't it still be good to see what our second team could do, if just for a while?

Maybe they could play in high heels. Does NIKE make such?

INTERESTING. However, the other team might feel offended. They made to the NCAA's and are looking forward to a chance to play Uconn and give it their best shot. Uconn will take out the first team when things get out of hand. But, who knows, PV might be able to stay in the game for a while and how great a memory that will be for them.

True, but that won't let the reserves show what they can do.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest that the reserves have ample opportunities to show what they can do ... in practice.

I think Prairie View would think that they were being dissed bigtime.

And they'd be right. Geno would never do this.
