Nifty line in the article about how the big win over Idaho "cleansed the [UConn] palate" after that foul-tasting loss to ND. Also there's no way a team from land-locked Idaho could be called the Commodores, but their handle, the Vandals, seems made-to-order for Vanderbilt. (And Yes, I know, Tennessee is also land-locked, so hold your piece.)

While not an area heavily settled by Swedes the settlement of New Sweden was significant in Idaho. The East Germanic Vandals, were also, settled in the Uppland area of Sweden in an area identified as Vendel. The Vandals were a transition culture to the Vikings.
