The soph from Patterson, NJ, is impressing at the TOC. Any info on her??
Yeah, but as seems to happen with very tall high school players, she was about 6'11" when we first heard about her and somehow gradually shrunk as she got more exposure. Same might happen with this kid.Wow, 6'9"; it's been a while since I've seen a 6'9" star in college. Britney is "only" 6'8", isn't she?

Um, UConn gets in line behind for recruits behind no one.If UConn is harboring any aspirations of getting her attention, they can get at the end of that looooong line that has already formed in front of her. We all know she'd look "marvelous" in a UConn uniform, and if she committed to the huskies, she'd receive a welcoming on campus and in the media, that would be talked about for years to come. But try convincing her of that.

I assume this is what you saw on her from the TOC:
Andrea Aquino: She's only a sophomore and has been playing basketball for a short time, but the 6-foot-9 Aquino showed she could dominate in Eastside's (Paterson, New Jersey) 55-36 loss to Dillard (Fort Lauderdale, Florida). Aquino is unmistakable in size and also in potential. From Paraguay, Aquino showed flashes of greatness on both ends of the floor. She has great hands and good mobility, and her development is definitely worth watching.

No knock in any way on Andrea, but I'm reminded of a coach back in the day from a D1 school calling about a 6'8" transfer student. He was told the absolute unvarnished truth, backed up by stats and video, and his response to all of this was , "I can coach her".
He wasn't able to, but she got a nice degree.
"Big kids don't shrink. Fast kids get tired. You can't coach tall."
We're UConn - the line forms behind us.If UConn is harboring any aspirations of getting her attention, they can get at the end of that looooong line that has already formed in front of her. ??????????????
UCONN has rarely, but has on occasion, been the first to get in line on any recruit. They have always tended to take time to make careful appraisals.I'd like to think so, but only if we get there first.
I think Auriemma is spending all his recruiting efforts on a different big from the area. A 6'7" named Gillian
Goring. However, sources are telling me that there is also a 6'11" Russian in the mix. Her name escapes me at the moment.
