A couple thoughts after reading Borges' article on Ntambwe in which he quotes Andre LaFleur.

First, if we're recruiting Achiuwa for the SF position, LaFleur makes it sound as if we might be better with Ntambwe.
Secondly, if Pikiell's assistant takes the Fairfield job, wouldn't LaFleur be a great fit at Rutgers based on how much success he had recruiting for us, PU and UNLV?

UNLV transfer Joel Ntambwe, who visited UConn over the weekend, could be “a pro in two years”

Ntambwe ultimately opted for UNLV, whose recruitment was led by former UConn assistant Andre Lafleur......................UNLV's best player, Shakur Juiston suffered a knee injury in December and Ntambwe had to switch positions, from small forward to power forward.
“It was a little bit of a disservice to him,” Lafleur said. “Had he stayed at the three, he might have been Player of the Year (in the Mountain West Conference).”
As it is, according to Lafleur, “He’s a pro in two years.”

LEAVING LAS VEGAS
Speaking of Lafleur, he is back on the open market after UNLV head coach Marvin Menzies was fired last month. Lafleur, who left UConn for Providence after the Huskies won the national title in 2011, then joined Menzies’ staff in 2016, has heard from at least a couple of West Coast schools. That would suit the Los Angeles native just fine.
YOUNG TO FAIRFIELD?
Former University of New Haven head coach and current Rutgers assistant Jay Young appears to be the leading candidate to replace Sydney Johnson at Fairfield, according to multiple sources. Johnson was fired last month after eight seasons at the helm.
