I honestly could not wait for the team to be his because of this. He’s always played hard as duck and main thing was getting his teammates involved. Now that the team is his it’s going to be so fun to watch everyone feed off of his energy.

He still hasn’t shown he can score too well yet. But there’s gotta be a place for him in the NBA with everything else he does man.

Btw, how do you gameplan for a guy who doesn’t look to score??

Love Jackson. The intangibles he brings are off the charts. Heart and soul of the team.

We could all tell from Hurley's comments and naming him a captain that Jackson would be the team leader but Hurley's comments on his leadership are just wow...

Ive developed a theory that early season comments by DH are positive, motivating and confidence building statements. Post season comments by DH are blunt, direct and potentially critical. For exampe, DH may say, 'player X is a great leader' during the season. A week after the season ends DH may say, 'we needed better leadership'.

That said, Ajax looked great. Genuinely looked like a leader. Zero selfish play. Didnt force shots in an attempt to impress scouts. The exact opposite. Lead the charge with intense defense. With some very nice moments as a facilitator. Very promising.

He looked "in charge"... Nothing was going to happen that he didn't want to happen.

Andre Jackson is the best leader I’ve ever been around as a coach or a player— coach speaks!!!

Wonderful watching A-Jax last night. He’s like an extension of Hurley’s moxy on the floor.

I have a feeling AJax will return for his senior season while he continues to work on his shot. It would be key for next season with the new freshmen. Anyone else agree ?
Vs going where?? Great player for us, but not much room in the league for guys that can’t shoot a lick.

He shot 36% from three last year. There's room in the league for freak athlete elite defenders who can guard multiple positions and also have elite vision.

Yeah, but he has to be able to create some offense off the dribble for himself(besides that ugly floater)or be a consistent 3 point shooter. Right now he isn't either but there is hope. This is his only first game this year so let's see what he has improved on. His on the ball D looked better for sure.

Skill + Leadership + Character + Accountability = Captain

He’s shown this off the court , on the court and on the bench when he’s in street clothes.

The intangibles Jackson bring to a game are the kind of things that win big games. The way he tips balls, disrupts and steals, rebounds, starts breaks, finds players is amazing. Mistakes, he will make them but what a talent, what an athlete.
