He just scored his first points less than a minute after he checked in.

Detroit is awful. Drummond has 9 points, 5 rebounds and 2 blocks in 10 minutes.

Detroit got lucky getting Drummond and Monroe in the latter half of the lottery. Its all part of the plan though. Get Marcus Smart this year and turn around to get Wiggins. Knight/Smart/Wiggins/Monroe/Drummond = ECF every year in the East.

Except Knight is horrid. They need to stop drafting combo guards.

Finished with 11 points, 10 rebounds, 2 blocks and 2 steals in 23 minutes.

The kid is a rebounding machine and a walking double double. There is no reason he shouldn't be playing 30 minutes a game.

Both the Pistons and AD will benefit from AD being brought along slowly. This will yield a confident and eager big man when the Pistons really need it - next year.

His conditioning doesn't seem to be at that level yet. His MPG track shows that he has been improving this. 13 in November, 17 in December, and 22 in January. Maybe he could be a 25-30 minute player at the end of the season, not now. But at the same time, a gassed Andre Drummond is still arguably the best player on the Pistons.

Do you really think it's his conditioning stopping him? It could be true, but I haven't read anything about his conditioning being a major problem. He played 28 minutes a game at UConn last year, and I assume he's in much better shape now than he was then. Even if he's not in shape, there's one way to get him in shape: playing him during games.
