That's what it said in the article. "Miller is certainly an intriguing candidate. He coached the Bears from 1999 to 2006, winning more games (93) over a seven-year stretch than any previous coach in school history. He took Brown to the NIT in 2002-03 and posted a 54-44 Ivy League record during his tenure."

Didn't he go from Brown to Penn. He went to the NCAA tournament in his first year, but then the team fell off and he was fired in 2006( ish). I don't recall the details but I think he had some issues with players. In any case, Penn isn't used to losing seasons. He was very successful at Brown at least by Brown standards. He also was successful at Connecticut College where he led them to an NCAA D-3 Final Four. I don't imagine he took the UCONN jobexpecting to stay there as an assistant forever. He's probably been looking for another head coaching job right along. Wouldn't shock me if Hobbs left too, unless he thinks he has a shot at the top spot if Calhoun goes.
