A nice piece of research, with frustrating but predictable findings.

I'm sure most WCBB fans have their own pet peeves about this issue, but here's one of mine: ESPN shows a really good WCBB game. When it's over, the network cuts to one of its main shows, usually Sports Center. The show's anchors immediately launch into a discussion of a totally different sport-- of course, a men's sport, sometimes not even about a game or event that is happening that day! It wouldnt be so bad if viewers knew that there would be some discussion/analysis at a later time on SC or other show. I know they have a programming schedule, but there are ways they could adapt.

Also, as this article points out, for both ESPN and NCAA, "college basketball" and related phrases mean men's college basketball. Is it that difficult to add a word to the phrase?

Sigh.
