This is a detailed and thoughtful analysis of the choices UConn is facing. Really a "must read" for UConn fans who want to participate in this discussion.
Nice write-up expresses the essence of the problem. SHOULD already be obvious to any thinking peroson.

No, he’s missing the point. It’s not about an emotional pull. It’s which situation best serves the interests of the university. Those interests go beyond sports.

If only people realized our time in the AAC was not about the AAC at all. It was about bad football hires and Kevin Ollie mailing it in after the natty. That time was about incompetence by those coaches and transitions in the AD and university president roles.

Moving to the big East didn’t stabilize things. Hiring a competent AD and two great head coaches did. Move to the Big 12 if offered. We finally have professionals in charge

100% this. And perhaps more to the point, this is article is a lazy regurgitation of some of the less insightful points made on this board. Anthony doesn't even seem to have tried to - you know - contact sources of his own.

Where's the new quotes from Big 12 officials? Where's the interview of our state politicians or University president? At least say you reached out to these folks and they were tight lipped. Then Anthony/we could speculate on what that might mean. There doesn't even seem to have been an attempt. Instead, the only quotes involve the “campus decision-makers” drivel from Thammel, which Anthony could have read here...and probably did.

What the hell happened to the horde? Honestly, the fanbase deserves better than this.
