When I saw the title, I thought the entire post would consist of a picture showing a basement, a fat guy with his face awash in barbeque sauce, and one or more computer terminals. Hey, if one can make a living "evaluating" HS athletes, more power. It's legal and its not dangerous to anyone.

However:

"Godfather of recruiting?" Wouldn't most people consider that embarrassing?

Athletic Directors using star system goaded fan interest as any part of a coach's evaluation? I very strongly believe in solid promotional efforts to help develop interest in outstanding products; and the rating systems do stimulate interest. However, did you read the credentials of the majority of so-called experts? I think most good coaches would react poorly to the concept.
