Amy Duran: "just call me Coach"

Amy Duran Heinzelman has been named head coach for the girls' team at Bullis School in Maryland.
Amy is from Maryland. Congrats Coach!

One of the more entertaining crowd contributions back in the day was whenever a ref called
something on her. The crowd would chant "Amy doesn't foul...Amy doesn't foul!"


I remember her as being a really nice complementary player....a very, very smooth perimeter shooter.

Bullis has had some pretty good coaches (and players) in years past. If I recall, one time Duke standout Kira Orr is an alum who coached there. Kira is one of the best players in Duke wcbb history.

Actually 86.0% for her career - still awfully good.

Possibly I'm thinking of one particular portion of one season. Just remember her being at the free throw line and the commentator saying she hadn't missed all season.

Or I could just be confused. That happens too.

Bullis is in the VERY high rent district, surrounded by world-class country clubs. Amy played at Stone Ridge, which is a very good Catholic school within 10 miles of Bullis.
