Not if we continue to win them!!!..........(response to this paragraph from Doms article)

"The question is, can UConn overcome the disadvantages. Kevin Ollie and his staff will have to overcome them will energy, “elbow grease” and recruiting skills; the new facilities will help; and for a time the image of UConn successes of the last 12 years will still be in recruits’ minds. That will fade, though. In a few short years, UConn will be recruiting kids with no memory of their championships."

Maybe, but will they remember Rudy Gay, Ray Allen, Rip, Kemba, Emeka, Caron, Drummond, Lamb, etc? That's what will sell UConn to recruits for a long time to come.

UConn basketball is headed in the right direction regardless of where it ends up. Parity is becoming more and more common as evidenced by deep post season runs by mid majors and revolving #1 rankings. It won't matter where we end up. UConn football will not be the demise of UConn basketball. Such a viewpoint is short sighted and as a fan, I'll never buy it. Both programs have bright futures and I'll continue to root for the every UConn athletic program.
