Block and altar shots get a few rebounds and learn on the job!! Jake had little or no offense for a couple of years as did Thabeet and they managed to get to FF's..........

7'6" wing span and a 3.2 GPA? This kid could turn out to be the missing piece to next years Final 4 run to Cowboys Stadium. 13 blocks against 5 munchkin players would be impressive. His upside could be through the roof, Literally!

Great grades. Hearing from a few places that he is very interested in uconn. Also hearing he is a project/ very very raw. Take it with a grain of salt. Also heard some top D1 schools are starting to call

This is precisely the type of player UConn should be after. Develop him, start a pipeline of tall juniors and seniors who sit for two years and then come on and dominate ala Souly Wane, Chuck Okwandu, Hilton Armstrong.

We're almost there already with Wolf, Nolan and Facey.

Nolan , facey , chuck ... Dominant ?!? He is very very raw as stated above and I can't believe we're putting a lot of eggs in this basket

Yes, they were dominant. Did you see Chuck and what he did against Kentucky in the F4? Souley Wane against Duke? Thabeet? Armstrong?

These players were all outside the top 100 other than Thabeet, and by their senior years, they shined in the tourney. I mean, Cousins or Okwandu?

cousins..

Correct answer: Okwandu. Cousins was on the bench in 2010, couldn't unseat Patterson; a year later Okwandu was swatting Harrelson and Vargas around.

NBA?: Cousins.

This is like saying, who do you prefer, Drummond or (sorry, insert name of a good senior NCAA big who will never make NBA)? Drummond is here for one season. That's it.

OK, may have had a brainfart. Apparently I'm thinking of Orton. LOL.

Nonetheless, I was trying to compare a highly ranked one and done to a 4 year project.

I have no issues taking a project every year, but we really should be landing top 75 kids who can play right away.
