Any conference that we're in is a power conference. UConn, Memphis, Cincy, and SMU is certainly better than the NBE.

I tend to agree any conference UCONN is in would likely be considered to possibly be a power conference, but it also depends on your definition of what a power conference is.

Big 10, Big 12, SEC, ACC - all those conferences are better in hoops no matter how well our top 4 teams do this year. Would a conference anchored by UCONN, Memphis, Cinci and SMU be better than whatever the Pac 12 has going on? Possibly - I have no idea who is supposed to be any good this year from that conference nor how they would stack up against the American.

I'd say there are 4 true power conferences, 3 or so upper-middle conferences, a few mid major conferences, and then the rest. I'd put us in the upper middle conference pack. Sub-power conference?

Ask again in 5 years - if we are still stuck in the AAC. If we get 4 teams routinely into the top 25 and 5 or 6 routinely make the NCAA's, then I'd say yeah we are a power conference.

This league is us, Memphis, Cinci and hopefully Temple.

Not comparable at all to the NBE.
