UCF down 1 to FIU with 4 minutes left
UConn down 3 to Villanova at half
Tulane hosts Duke in 10 minutes on CBS Sports Net

Wow. Need this to turn around really quickly or else that Sixth Power Conference talk will look really freaking stupid

FIU just blocked a UCF game winning field goal attempt and are going to win at UCF 15-14

Yeah it didn't seem stupid already

.-.
I'm torn.

I feel the AAC will never get respect no matter what happens even though in general I want the league to win, but if it improves UConn's odds in CR if UCF/Cincinnati lose then I'm all for it.

For instance if Louisville never recovered from Kragthorpe we'd be in the ACC now.

in general I am routing for aac teams, but it is nice to know that a team like UCF is very beatable this year.

I thought Tulane was a live dog tonight. They didn't even show up.

Whoever bought the field turf at Tulane should be barred from College Football.

Although Tulane punting on 4th and 2 down 30-7 probably deserves to play on what looks like a urine field.

Pencil in another opportunity for a W, and bowl eligibility. I'm fine with it.

The only people who should care about the AAC establishing credibility are people who think we are stuck here forever.

I am not one of those people.

SMU gives up a TD 50 seconds in but big time kick return, O trotting out now

SMU TD! First play from scrimmage!!

.-.
I'll tell you what. You combine SMU O with UConn D and you've got yourself a really good football team

SMU is still gonna get blown out but they are looking 10x better than last year

Should be interesting to see how long SMU can hang with them. Has the means for an entertaining game if you love offense.

They show a replay on that massive illegal touching call that negated an SMU first down on 3rd down?

Matt Davis out for SMU, hope they can hang in there

SMU looks much better than last year, regardless of what the final score of this game winds up being. They're definitely going to put up points this year.

Phil Steele in his magazine said SMU is one of the improved teams this year. He wrote that UCONN will be improved, but might only get 3 or 4 wins...

Navy absolutely spanking Colgate in the first half. I like Tulsa to blow out FAU

With a good look at the competition. Where y'all think we stand in the conference right now?

I'm sticking to my original prediction of 6 or 7 wins and a bowl invite. UConn can clean up the mistakes they did make and it was nice to see only a handful to clean up. I was impressed in particular with no center/quarterback snafus but in saying that I can't recall many shotgun snaps. Johnson's personal foul really didn't hurt the team but Fatukasi's cost us 7 potential points and gave them points. Erase that and your looking at a possible 27-9 final score. The buzz saw part of the schedule starts after Army and if the pups can weather that storm to a .500 record going into the ECU game I believe they'll have a legit shot at that coveted bowl invite.

Other than the UCF loss, a decent weekend for the league.

For those that believe otherwise, UConn needs the AAC to be far and away the best G5 conference to get invited to a better league. No one is getting invited to the Big 10 out of the Sun Belt.
