The difference in an 18 points loss, while clearly disappointing is a very close game with 4 less shots made by the winner and 4 more by the loser. But anyway, this team is playing with an injured bench that might win the Big East by itself. Our team is pretty resilient. So maybe not an NC contender, but they have beaten 3 or 4 tournament teams and neither an earlier loss or a deep run will surprise me.

The other thing that we UConn fans need to swallow is that the depth of talent especially  and competitive teams has exploded way beyond when we became dominant. We will get talent but so will many others. We still attract talent nationally and internationally but more kids have viable local programs to choose from not to mention the NIL and portal.  Enjoy what we can.
