Let's say some school had 5 or more available scholarships to give and had a strong WCBB tradition, with a fine coach, good facilities, and a supportive and attractive university. Let's say those who've announced they were going to transfer put aside issues of proximity to home and other personal limitations. Let's say all these intended transfers texted each other and said: let's go to that school and play together!

What would an all-transfer team look like next year? (Of course, to keep the fantasy going, let's suspend the rule about possibly sitting out a year!)

I'd like a lineup of:

Slocum
Patberg
Boley
McCoy
Mompremier
You know, Milford's All-Transfer team is not half bad. Now let's really suspend disbelief to imagine that team playing for Geno. Do you thing he could win a championship with them?

Probably not in the first year. By the end of the second year,m if they all stuck it out (and THAT, my friends, is the real question), probably yes.

I think it could be a Final Four team.

No athleticism, no defense and the only one of these players that can create her own shot is Slocum. If you have her then why would you need Patberg? McCoy and Mompremier play the same spot too and neither passes well enough at this point in their reespective careers to run a hi-lo game.

The best transfers available, with 2 guards and 3 posts. Not an ideal team, but a talented one.

Courtesy of Vowelguy's excellent chart and persistent efforts to keep it up to speed, I'll pick a whole roster and then determine who works best t Now, o

Guards:
Probable starters: Destiny Slocum (PG), Kyrse Gondrezick
Backups: Ali Patberg (PG), AJ Alix, Rebeka Dahlman

Posts:
- Beatrice Mompremier, Jenna Staiti
and for a change of pace, either Jessica Shepard or Mariella Fasoula

Forwards:
- Erin Boley, Brenna Wise, MacKenzie Ellis
(sorry Tori McCoy, can't carry your sister, too.)

Dawn would probably coach the team.
Dawn has got that transfer market on lock now that she has a Natty. Her sales pitch will be silky smooth... "Transfer here we now have rings."

Ring- as in singular. Not so sure about Dawn having that transfer market on lock either because South Carolina has only taken in 1 more transfer than UCONN.

I think she is about to close the deal on Shepard. Also she really does know a lot about it in the past what 2 years she has been a part of 7 transfers if I am counting correctly.. 4 transfers in and 3 transfers out.

I wonder why she's been able to do so well on the transfers, but can't seem to land a top recruiting class. Since Wilson I mean. Sure she's getting some solid kids, but I wonder why she's not landing more top 10 talent right out of HS...

She has a commitment from a top 10 pg for the 2018 Class. Seems that when you land the big class, like she did in 2014 it can affect your recruiting unless you are Maryland, Louisville, ND etc. I think it is more of selecting the right people for your team. Her recent success shows that you must have the right mixture of recruits. Obviously by the struggles of Louisville, ND and Texas, just piling up ALLEGED to 10 talent every year does not guarantee success. Example Coates #28 in her class yet, winner, and #2 player in draft. That is one thing I also like about Geno. He does not apologize for kids he takes outside of the top 10 that turn out to be better players than the supposed top ten players listed by some of these sights. Dawn is picky that does not lower her standards to sign a player. She is honest to a fault, as Aja Wilson and many of her other players have stated and she has show continuous success because of it.
