Nice list.

Here's a name, with a slight twist:

Calvin Murphy, Norwalk High, Niagara U., Houston Rockets, Naismith Hall of Fame (shortest NBA player inducted), world-class baton twirler.

I'm sorry that I can't remember her name, but what about the forward from Norwalk who played for the University of Hartford a few years ago? She had an ACL injury that ruined her senior year, but she was a very effective rebounder. It seems to me that she should be on this list.

It's unfortunate that Nicole Wolff was not able to make this list -- she certainly had the talent and the dedication, but I agree that her results don't justify her being included.

You are forgetting Carla Berube, who I would put above most the third team.
Carla could guard tall or small, shoot the three and operate in the paint, she was instrunental in the '95 championship game and was a big reason why they were a contender in 96 and 97.

Yes of course! When I was thinking about it, I had her 3rd team, but forgot about it by the time I typed it up.

Will fit it. Thank you.

AGreed- Beautiful and talented, but not a great asset in college.

Heather Buck of Stonington, CT is similar. Top 35 player out of high school, perennial bench warmer in college. She did spend two halves defending Brittney Griner well, though, and she scored the final points (92 and 93 of the game) of the 2012-13 season.

Some regard NY ss part of NE. Are including NY here?

Funny how certain years seemed to have been much stronger than others.

91 - Bascom/Lishness and Cardoza
97 - Wolters/Berube and Wideman
98 - Sales/Williams, Domond, and Blodgett

And of course few notables in the past decade.

Kate Lynch
As a student-athlete, Lynch had a wealth of experience on the Division II stage, playing four years at Southern Connecticut State University. With the Owls, she was a two-time First-Team All-American, and All-Northeast 10 Conference choice. Lynch also presently holds four all-time school records, including the career scoring mark, and assisted SCSU in capturing the NCAA Division II National Championship in 2007.

Should also add

Amanda Pape, sacred heart
Kastine Evans, Kentucky
Marci Glenney, UConn/Clemson
Carolyn Swords, bc
Sarah Behn, bc
Jess Deveny, bc
Brianne Stepherson, bc
Brandy Cruthird '92, James Madison <--- on the 91 team that upset #1 penn st in the east region, paving the way for UConn's Cinderella run to the final 4
Jessica Gaspar '98, UNC

Erica Beverly?

No one regards NY as part of NE, I tell ya. Imagine..."visit Queens and see New England" or"see New England in The Adirondacks"...or Buffalo, Queen City of New England"...

No one. I hate it when such spurious canards inundate The Boneyard.

You can tell who has New England roots around here. LOL!

Thanks for making my early morn Sonny. BTW, I found this pic as I carefully researched the now defunct "NY is a NE State" movement...must have been the command center.

Olympian and WBHOF Sue Racowiez (spelling is wrong) Souther CT
Mechelle Edwards - from Boston. Iowa under Stringer, WNBA.
didnt Tracy Lis have a pretty good career over at Providence, even though nothing like her high school days.

I forgot about Renee Najarian (so Carolina and UConn) who probably would be 2nd team.
