This is posted on the conference realignment board, but thought I would add it here. I cannot believe there is even an ounce of consideration into sending BE basketball schools to play in Boise, Idaho. I, for one, would rather leave with the Catholics and put football in C-USA than stick in this mess - we are now being pushed around by Boise State.

I think Dez was just "spit-firing." There is no way on earth that Boise is going to be an all-sports member of the Big East. They would essentially wipe out any monetary gains they would get in a football contract by having to pay their volleyball and baseball teams to come to Storrs, CT, etc. That would make the MW contract comparable, when looking at overall revenue versus expenditures, and so why make the move?

The best chance at this point is to work with the Big West to take their olympic sports. I'm pretty sure that the MW won't take them without their football team (why would they?). If the Big East can help the Big West situation happen, then that would make this a lot easier.

For me, the better question is: if Boise State doesn't come, do we keep San Diego State??
