Pretty interesting but Raquel Welch and Kirsty Alley were way too low...

A little tidbit. The brother of my girlfriend at Uconn was Brad Pitt's roommate and fraternity "big brother" at Mizzou. That's my six degrees for BP...and now yours I guess!

Some great names on that list, but clearly the ranking order is skewed.

Who would have been UConn's celeb? I know Meg Ryan was there for a little while. They could have also just picked Jesus Shuttlesworth.

Robert Hunter, Jerry Garcias songwriting partner for 30 years, went to UConn for a bit. I personally think that tops them all in " coolness quotient," hunters lyrics are so good that Bob Dylan has written songs to hunters lyrics instead of his own.

His lyrics are now part of everyday speech. example : "what a long, strange trip it's been" is a hunter lyric.

When I was a student at UConn I went to see Go Ahead (a one-off project featuring Brent, Bill K, Jesse Colin Young and others while Jerry was in his diabetic coma in 1986) at the old Agora in West Hartford (I think it was called the West Hartford Ballroom and Music Hall then). Robert Hunter opened the show and talked about living in the SDS (Secret Democratic Society) when he was a student at UConn, and then he sang the UConn fight song. Very cool. I remember Go Ahead did a very nice cover of Traffic's "Medicated Goo," a favorite of mine.
