The aunt seems so selfish from this video. She would tear up her recruiting letters and throw them away? The dishes part was just a weird thing to put in this video, but the tearing letters was unacceptable.

Nonetheless, congratulations to Aliyah on finding a good home in SC. And also having an amazing freshman season so far. She plays more like Coates than Wilson, but I think she has a way higher ceiling than Coates.

Based on what he mom said, I think SC is a good fit. She seems very low key which might not fit with Storrs. Will be very interesting to see Boston vs Liv. Hope the refs don't get their whistles in the way

The reason given (which I believe to be genuine) is similar to the reasons that Rebecca Lobo and Diana Taurasi expressed for coming to UConn when they had other, more seemingly straightforward alternatives. Rebecca with her high grades could have gone to Notre Dame or Stanford (as her parents urged her to do), and DT could have stayed in California and maybe gone to USC. But they both said that they established a rapport with Geno, based on a similar cultural/ethnic background.

C'est la vie. It appears that it will work out for all parties.
