The times they ran are incredible, even while passing the baton. To put it in perspective, their average legs were the equivalent of football players running a 4.4-4.5 40 yard dash the entire way around the track. Amazing stuff.

Letsile Tebogo ran a 43.03 split and he isn't even a 400 runner and he ran all the rounds of the 100 and 200. Totally insane.

Hamden’s Alexis Holmes anchors the 4x400 to a gold medal. An amazing achievement.
Her Great Grandfather was my 7th, 8th and 9th grade football coach. Like a father figure to a lot of us. The New Haven Ravens, early 80’s. Mr. Edward Stanton Sr. would be proud.

Wasn't any pressure on her after the advantage Sydney McLaughlin gave them with her leg but she still had the 2nd fastest leg on the team(2nd slide)

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more graceful and effortless runner than McLaughlin. It was legit beautiful to watch.

She had a tough individual 400m but she ran a great split as the anchor.

I think we’ll see him running 409s in the future. He’s really more of a 2/4 guy than 1/2 - which is insane to say. But he ran a crazy 300 in something like 30.69 - and I think he’s very capable of getting into the 42s with just a bit of training for it.
