How many more UCONN fans will be in Albany than were at Storrs on Wednesday?

Today(Friday's) newspaper says there about 6,700 tickets sold for Saturday. The arena holds over 17,000 people. If you go online to purchase tickets, Ticketmaster says there are tickets left in only ONE section of the arena.
Something is wrong here.....the NCAA has to make ticket selection and buying easier for the fans.

They won't open up entire arena for 1/3 full house. Think staffing costs ,concessions etc. Just my guess.

Everybody I talked to have seats in 100 series seats which is the lower level. I 'm in Albany to start with, and they curtain off substantial sections in the upper level when they do not expect more than around 8,000.

We'll see what happens tomorrow. I certainly hope we get at least that number. Our New Yorkers on the squad should bring a good following--especially Breanna who should bring a good 200 from Cuseland. We have 14 in our party---four local and ten coming from Connecticut.

Go Huskies!

The Times Union Arena seats a couple of thousand less for for basketball than for concerts.

I bought three tickets in Section 226 from Ticketmaster last night, and the seat selection map for Saturday showed seats available in more than a dozen sections. Just went on line now, and the Ticketmaster map is showing seats still available in Sections 203, 204, 206, 207, 208, 209, 211, 226, 227, 228, 229, 230, 231 and 233.

Watched a video shot at the arena yesterday and saw that the 200 level Sections behind the baskets were curtained off.

I went to a college hockey game there last year and for a crowd of a little over 7K they filled the lower bowl and had a small number of people in the 4-5 sections around center ice on either side. Add the floor seats and the significant number of seats Ticketmaster is showing as sold in the side court upper level sections and I think 10K is possible when all is said and done.
